Singapore’s Investigate VC Unveils New $500M Fund Targeting Startups Worldwide

Singapore-based early-stage investment firm Investigate VC has announced the launch of its new global fund series, Fund 2 (I–III), with a target of raising over $500 million in assets under management. The fund series will span three vintages—2025, 2027, and 2029—scaling the firm’s established investment strategy across a broader global footprint.

Investigate VC emphasized that Fund 2 will continue to follow its institutional-grade structure while extending its reach to support innovative founders worldwide.

The first fund in the series, Investigate Fund 2 (I), aims for a close of $150 million and plans to back early-stage startups across Asia, Europe, and North America. The firm will prioritize companies with strong network effects, where user growth, data, and engagement lead to self-reinforcing scale, an attribute behind more than 70% of today’s top tech firms.

Investigate VC will apply a proprietary AI-driven decision engine to enhance its investment process, using data analytics to identify early inflection points and optimize portfolio scaling. The fund evaluates over 1,000 curated startups annually, narrowing down to over 300 qualified Seed to Series B opportunities for deeper review.

The firm’s dual-fund liquidity model offers investors the option for liquidity after five years without compromising long-term gains, providing flexibility rare in traditional venture structures. This design is intended to attract institutional capital while supporting extended growth timelines for portfolio companies.

Backed by teams on the ground in key startup hubs, Investigate VC’s global reach and local insight, which allow it to source exclusive deal flow and provide hands-on support to founders. Its sector focus includes foundational industries to build a resilient and sustainable economy.

The new fund series builds on the success of Fund 1, which recorded a 28% net IRR and a 5x multiple on invested capital (MOIC). Investigate VC attributes this performance to a blend of expert-led evaluation, AI-powered tools, and proprietary sourcing frameworks—elements it plans to scale further through Fund 2.

“Network effects aren’t a feature — they’re the engine. They define the companies that reshape industries,” said Mikael Krogh, Founder and Partner at Investigate VC. “Investigate VC is built to find these founders early and help them scale into global leaders.”

Michael Pomerleau, Co-Founder and Partner, emphasized the need for more intelligent venture structures. “We need smarter VC structures rooted in first principles. Investigate VC bridges the long-standing gap between early-stage innovation and institutional capital — giving investors a meaningful way to access scalable, resilient, high-performing startups,” he said.
